Daring to Dream

Learn about Jungian analyst Marion Woodman’s approach to working with dreams and experience a dream circle. Karen Brody interviews me about how to work with our dreams. In this Daring to Rest podcast episode, I share about the 5 stages of a dream, archetypes in dreams, why dreams are important, how to explore your dreams, and why Marion Woodman’s work is particularly accessible to women on a quest for wholeness. I also work with three women to help them explore their dreams. This interview was the beginning of the monthly dream circle which I lead inside Rested, Daring to Rest’s community which supports women to dare to rest and dream. Where To Start With Marion Woodman

I think that the best place to start with Marion Woodman is with this compilation of her interviews: Conscious Femininity: Interviews with Marion Woodman. In my own initial experience of Woodman, these interviews helped introduce me to the language of Jungian archetypes, and to Woodman’s unique interpretation of the feminine archetypes in particular. This introduction prepared me to dive into her books (which I have listed below in her bio).

If you learn best by listening, there is an audiobook which I like to call Marion Woodman’s “best hits”: Sitting by the Well: Bringing the Feminine to Consciousness Through Language, Dreams, and Metaphor. This is a compilation of some of her best talks.

There is a magnificent documentary of Marion’s life- Dancing in the Flames: A Film About the Greatest Mystery of Life and the Woman Who Understands It Like No Other which can be accessed here.

And when you feel drawn to dive into any of her many amazing books:
